it is true...i never thought this song would be able to be redone but he has achieved it. this is a great remake of a classic. and his voice is not raspy, onecreativemuse is right. its just from the compression of the video.

The reason his voice sounds 'raspy' is due to the compression algorithm used in preparing this video for the Web.
