You guys are funny. Maybe I should have directed my comments to the specific people who were assholes "pros" in the earlier comments. I apologize if I generalized all of you "pros". Go back and read earlier comments to see how many "pros" responded to this mans idea and problem solving degrading and insulting him. Relax on the name calling don't be so sensitive. If you are truly a pro and are just looking for ideas then you shouldn't be offended by my comments towards those previous hacks.

Your a fucking tool... I do drywall myself, and i find this very interesting. With a 3 man crew, this would be able to save a lot of money if it was able to be perfected. I searched this cuz its interesting to see how others put up drywall, stfu u narrow minded cock sucker.

I have no idea why a "PRO" would even search for how to hang drywall on a ceiling on youtube. If you have time to waste then you must not be that good for those of us who are inexperienced to want to hire you. This was one mans way to solve a problem at home not for a living. And how does this in any way reflect on whether he has friends or not and what kind of friends they are. Buddy great thinking on solving your problem. Took more time but saved money.

Thanks, Mark!
I've had that suggested but i'm not sure it could be produced portable enough and adaptable to different users and ceiling heights. Patents are a difficult process and there are good panel lifts presently available. The pros seem content with those.

Excellent idea bro, just finished sound proofing my studio on my own, one day i got knocked out when the "deadman" i was using to prop up the 8x4 sheet slipped, not cool. You should patent this if you haven't already.

interesting idea...a home made panel lift. of course, a pro doesn't need either to hang a ceiling on his own...but this looks easier on the back!
