Great video! I'm installing a 5.9Kw PV solar system on my house. I'm documenting the install on my web site. You can see the work-in-progress at w(cubed) jjhamilton(dot)com/solar JimmyD

Great Video ! ! ! ! Am in AZ. Have a solar hot water system now. Saved me 40 bucks per month.Cost was the same as a Home Depot regular electric water heater install. Now with new Federal tax credits, this will be my next install. Will reduce my e bill to zero. A much better investment that putting money in stocks, cd's, etc.

Thats changing everyday. 10 years from now it will be the norm. Just as USB, Sata drivers, laptops, LCD screens in place of CRT, hybrids, fully electric drive cars, underground geothermal air conditioning, dual pain glass windows, solar heating, instant electrical water heaters, and on the lost goes on. Each I mention were once naysayed. Look at them now. All main stream.

that looks like a pretty big system. how many KW/hours are produced average per day? i know it says 3kw but is that max on a hot day. it would be more intuative to know the average kwh per day figure. thanx for the vid, peace :)

Solar seems like a good option, But when you look at the cost of the systems, and the end payoff for the units, You are looking at at least 10 years before you get any benefit. New and better solar is around the corner. If you want to go green Cut your electric use. Eliminate ghost power and use cfc bulbs, I have 2000 sq ft our average bill is $65. Now thats Going Green. For you biggest benefit,Get rid of your old fridge, New fridge return of investment 1 - 2 years, we went from $40 month to $6

lol Sounded like you were one of those people that come on here and rip on some ones time and money just because you didn't have it.

Nuclearthreat545 No, Personally, I realise that Feng shui is the ancient chinese art of removing money from the easily fooled, so frankly, if he'd used his solar power to reduce his fossil fuel consumption, i reckon that would have been a better move, but hey, its his choice and good luck to him. Why would i be "jealous much" ? - because i dont have a feng shui waterfall ?

way to be a dick gug. What do you want him to do? Use the power the city gives him to power the pump? Hes doing more than enough to save enery and if he wants to use other things with the solar than he will. Jealous much?
