This video shows the compact lighting kit we use to take on-location portraits at our university. The second part of the video concludes with photos taken with this lighting kit. I have a complete list of the kit on my blog Rear Curtain Sync at http://rcsync.blogspot.com/

I'm fairly confident this is the bag I use. It fits two stands really well. I recently added a third and it gets a bit cramped with the two flashes as well. Hakuba PSTC 100 Medium Pro Series Tripod Case - for Tripod up to 27" Long (Black)

Hey, Love your video but would it be possible to get the exact name of the Hakuba bag you have it in?

Great video sir. I haven't seen someone move through the information they are trying to provide in such a smooth, concise, and eloquent fashion. A youtube strobist favourite for sure.

I didn't particular care for umbrellas as a light source at the time I initially put the kit together. I bought the cheapest ones I could buy. In my opinion they don't need to be bigger as the lightsource dumping into them is small. A couple notes: Umbrellas are a huge light source. Small ones catch less wind when working outdoors.

Any particular reason you choose umbrellas so small in size?

awsome and well explained video - better than some of the others trying to explain the topic on youtube. Thanks a lot!

The video was shot teathered to the MacBook Pro. I used iDVD and iMovie. I think the into was created using iDVD. I'm pretty sure of that. It was the first time I had used that... that's why it resembles Cover Flow.
